Large Log File

Hello, currently, a accounting software program is being used in the company, it operates with sql server but the log file is 30gb+. What do you think would be the best approach to deal with this large log file? 1. If I take the log file and upload it to another backup server, will SQL create a new log file and will there be any issues? 2. I read about something called log shrink online, would it be a better option to do that? 3. Or instead of these options, what should I do?
