Server Operating System Recommendation

Hello, today I was planning to create a server with Oracle Free Tier but I was undecided on choosing the operating system. I want to install the Pterodactyl panel. As far as I know, CentOS and Ubuntu are recommended for the server, but I'm curious about your opinions as well. I would appreciate your assistance.
